Xbox 360 Memory Card
From Article on Yahoo:
Make sure you're got the right kind of memory card for your Xbox.
Are you using a cheap, hefty memory card to save content on your Xbox 360? If so, you might want to make some changes.
Borderlands & Brutal Legend
Tue Oct 20, 2009 at 11:09:11 AM EDT
Yes, I bought Brutal Legend last night. Already love it (knew that I would). Still trying to figure out how things work and what to do (Just freed the army of head bangers...) lol. Funny stuff.
Metacritic is giving B.L. an 84 and Borderlands an 87
So I'm considering getting Borderlands too. Who has gotten it? I'm not gonna pick it up if there is no one to Co-op with...
What about Brutal Legend MP? Has anyone tried it?
Anyone want to party up tonight?

My brother in law (David) is coming over in a little bit. We're gonna toss back some Miller Lights. Yes... Miller Lite. It is (in my opinion), a good beer. I love my Bass Ale, Sierre Nevada, Harps, and the occassional Guniess (draft of course...). But one hot summer day about two years ago, David and I stopped at a gas station/beer store, on our way up to the family cottage.
"Dude, all they've got is American beer...".
"Figures..."
"Okay, so what?... Go somewhere else?"... "No, just pick something."
So I picked Miller Lite. Six pack. Bottles.
Got to the cottage, cut timber for firewood. Split it.
Sweaty. Miller Lite....
Best beer we've Ever had.
.
.
So, anyway... Tonight. Want to get on later with David.
Anyone up for some COD4, COD5? Firefight?!
Hope to see you on. Probably around midnight.
.
To Miller Lite!...
A Game that we All Love
Fri Sep 11, 2009 at 11:35:03 AM EDT
This past year has been a strange time for gaming among the Gearhead's.
When Gears of War first came out November 2006, we all fell in love. Head over heals (even with all its warts). Played it and Played it some more. We bonded together with a game. One game.
Then September (I think), Halo 3 came out. Many of us hoped this game would elevate our gaming together to a new level. MP with more purpose. Capture the Flag, Warthogs running down the bad guys. Full rooms of Gearheads (16! Instead of only 8 in Gears). Remember, we used to have 3 rooms of Gears going during the heyday. Totally fun still, but bummer because a lot of us didn't even get to play with each other on a Friday (Although we did organize quite a bit of room swapping).
Halo 3 unfortunately did not have that "?...?" Special something that resonated in our soul... It did for times, but died... And so did our dreams of a Halo world...
Dude, Gotta admit... Brutal Legend looks pretty stinkin cool!

When I first heard about this a couple years ago, I thought... "retarded"...
I believe I stand corrected (on the comedy and visuals alone).
Looks totally hilarious! Not sure when I might pick this up but...
This is a long but fun video (and I'm only halfway done with it...)

This could be one of those games to play during the long winter evenings.. Sipping red wine and worshiping the metal gods...

Special Request - Need YOUR vote

A few weeks ago when we were on vacation (i.e. our 2 week road trip to Cali), we got to reconnect with my wife's family (Phyllis) Her Grandma/Uncle/Family. It was wonderful seeing everyone again.
The highlight was spending time with her younger cousin Roger. He is as cool, genuine and sincere as they come. Hesitantly, he told us about his musical aspirations (college degree, production experiences) and now... He is putting himself "out there", participating in a contest (Big in the U.S. Chinese/American community). Kind of an... "American Idol."
At that time he had made it through the first two cuts. About twenty contestants left... Recently in his latest competition, the song put on for him with in a key higher than his normal range. Me being a bit of a novice musician myself, I can totally understand what that does to a person... You are out of your comfort zone. Anyway, he finished, but didn't make the final cut.
Our Halo Dreams...
Thu Aug 06, 2009 at 09:13:24 AM EDT
What is your Halo Dream?...
Fanboy or not. We are allowed to Dream...
We all pretty much started a love affair with Halo at some point. For many, (myself included...) it pretty much died.
Will Halo ODST bring my love affair with the Halo Franchise back (Including the books)?... I doubt it... But, you never know... It might take some steps toward my dream.
On another diary, ESuns posted this...
After copy and pasting His dream, I'll paste mine... What is yours?
Papi, Blankman and Kenai in Cali
Wed Jul 29, 2009 at 09:36:52 PM EDT
Well I'm back to work, sunburn is now peeling, good memories and fun.
Our two week family trip out West to Yosemite, Southern Cal and the Grand Canyon. We visited a lot of friends and family along the way and had many, many highlights (and a few low ones). Actually, didn't really have any low ones come to think of it...
Couple of the highlights were meeting up with Blankman (Kenny) and his 6 year old daughter Katie on the beach. After some brief shyness, Katie and my daughter Liv kicked it into gear and hunted for seashells together. I guess you could call them sea shells... More like sea fragments. lol. Blankman kept putting them in his pocket "Ooooh Katie, nice one..." I found Liv's later (must have been in her shorts pocket) cause there was a bunch of them in the bottom of the dryer on laundry day.

Okay, my dad just sent me this one...
Post any funny ones that you have (or Youtubes)
:-)
So after landing my new job as a Wal-Mart greeter, a good find for many retirees, I lasted less than a day......
About two hours into my first day on the job a very loud, unattractive, mean-acting woman walked into the store with her two kids, yelling obscenities at them all the way through the entrance.
As I had been instructed, I said pleasantly, 'Good morning and welcome to Wal-Mart. Nice children you have there. Are they twins?'
The ugly woman stopped yelling long enough to say, 'Hell no, they ain't twins. The oldest one's 9, and the other one's 7. Why the hell would you think they're twins? Are you blind, or just stupid?'
So I replied, 'I'm neither blind nor stupid, Ma'am, I just couldn't believe someone slept with you twice. Have a good day and thank you for shopping at Wal-Mart..'
My supervisor said I probably wasn't cut out for this line of work.
The Spirit of Adventure is Alive and Well
Tue Jun 30, 2009 at 11:00:27 AM EDT
In the spirit of adventure, I now begin in the words of Monty Python "Now, for Something completely different..."

This past weekend was one of those that I think every father dreams of whilst they are busy changing diapers and wiping noses.
But before I tell THAT story, I beg your indulgence as I set the table from the beginning.
My parents purchased ten acres in the thumb of Michigan (about an hour and a half drive from home) when my sister and I were little kids. A family retreat in an unlikely place. In the country, surrounded by farms, our place was half wooded and perfectly suited for camping. It started with a little 15 foot black n white trailer and then a well we drove that was pumped by hand. Friends and family began to come up with us on weekends for time to breathe, campfire and swim in nearby Lake Huron or our recently dug muddy little pond. As the years went on, our place changed into something more established with the purchase of a mobile home, landscaping, strategically planted trees. Some friends and family even parked their trailers / campers / even a renovated bus - for summers of fun. Church youth groups would hold a retreat weekend with us as their host. Tents everywhere....
