So Gearbox has a web series out that has to do with one of the character from Borderlands. Claptrap is his name. He's like the little utility robot guy. Anyway the videos that involve him are hilarious. Here's the first one and the second I think the second one is better. But you be the judge.                                                                                                                                                              

I realize that I've been absent as of late but I want you guys to know that I'm still here. Just been a bit busy with life lately. I'll be around tonight for some FFF action. Anyway, the main purpose of this diary is to function as a pretty nice link dump.

So while I was talking to Suns the other night I mentioned that I was applying to be an editorial writer for a gaming website. That website is Out of lives Well my writing sample passed and I got the gig. I just got done publishing my first article, Out of Money. You can find it on the main page of the site. Alright. So. Screw MJ. Billy Mays died today. I am now going to cry myself to sleep. He was just on Conan this past week. If anyone hasn't seen that episode you should. It's hilarious. Here is the story. Apparently his plane had a rough landing and something hit his head. Didn't think it was that serious. Apparently it was. :(

Since Sweetie can't take care of the Nintendo conference I figured I would help out. I can't do as good of a link dump job as Sweetie can do seeing how we still can't edit diaries :/. So I'm just going to list some of the key stuff from the conference and hope that someone who can edit will link dump for me.

Splinter Cell

Splinter Cell makes me incredibly happy.          

So Suns sent me a message saying how I haven't posted anything all week. The reason for that is because for some reason I can't read any diaries using Firefox. I can read the front page just fine, but any time I click on a diary to actually read it, I just get a blank page. I'm using IE to write this diary, and I absolutely hate it. But I figured with news such as this, I couldn't not tell everyone about it.

So details have finally emerged about the multiplayer in BioShock 2. For those of you that are worried that it will take development time away from 2k, have no fear, as they are out sourcing it to another company. It's being done by Digital Extremes. They are the company that made Dark Sector. I actually enjoyed the multiplayer in that game, when it wasn't a huge lag fest. Anyway, read on for the full details.  Click here: Bioshock 2

So apparently with all the exciting Gears news today people have over looked this exciting little tidbit. Microsoft finally let some gaming press sit down and play 1 vs 100 and it seems to be that the overall experience was that everyone enjoyed it. I would type up all the main points of the previews for you, but I would rather just let the old copy and paste do it for me.

Some key points:
The game will be free to play
You can bring silver accounts in to play with you, as long as one account is gold.
Live interviews with the host
The arcade game(s)given out will be whatever game went live that week.
Each week the questions will be completely different
Once per season give away of electronics
The Live shows are on Fridays and Saturdays, while there are non live shows during the week.
The "1" accumulates points as they go along, and can cash out at any time they want
Most importantly: There is not enough time to look up answers on the interwebs.

So I want everyone who reads this to go to ESPN and enter the konami code. I'm not going to say why. Just that you need to do it.
The konami code is Up Up Down Down Left Right Left Right B A start. But in this instance you need to replace start with the enter key. And then keep hitting the enter key.

So Sony was going to make some "electrifying" announcement with regards to Infamous on April 27th, but someone at a Best Buy store beat them to it. Apparently if you pre order Infamous from BB you get a multiplayer beta code. For Uncharted 2 Now Infamous reminds me even more of Crackdown. Seeing how Crackdown gave you access to the Halo 3 beta. This kind of makes me think that Sony doesn't think that Infamous can sell on it's own. Which scares me. It's kind of seems like Sony is using Uncharted's greatness in order to get sales. This might be because of Prototype. Who knows. Now before people start saying well didn't Crackdown do the same thing? Here is the biggest difference. Before the announcement of the Halo 3 beta, Crackdown was basically off of everyone's radar. So yeah, CD probably used Halo 3 to get some sales, but CD was also a really good game. I still own it today.

Found this 5 minute Infamous gameplay video. Honestly it kind of just looks like it's going to be a mediocre game. It looks like it's just going to be a huge spam fest of lightning balls. Sure there are obviously other attacks, but it really seems like you just spam the one attack to get through the level. Although the climbing stuff does look like it would be fun. I still want to play it though but it looks like it's just going to end up being a rent.
