all in all the grand total is around $1500. Still better than an alienware, and for the same performance. All these were recommended by my Techbuddy Austin. Here's what I'm going to get:

so any comments or suggestions? It's definitely gonna take me awhile to save up for all of these components, especially with no job as of now (lol), but it'll be worth it.

I would (none / 0)

order everything from newegg.com. They generally have better deals than tiger direct. Also, I would try to stick with an intel processor, I've seen quite a bit more problems with the AMDs.

To try to be future proof with DDR3 ram and new chipsets raising.

i would compare that AMD to this intel i7

but even if you aren't going future proof, i would look at going intel anyway

if i want a future proof computer, I should run with an Intel processor. Thanks again Machete and Zoso.

oh and also, that phantom looks pretty sick, but not way to much of an overhaul over the intel i7. And I also don't think I'm gonna overclock my computer, i dont want to risk it.
